🏆 How to Run a Trigahex Tournament in Your Classroom, School, Family or Club
Trigahex tournaments are a fantastic way to engage students in strategic thinking, teamwork, and healthy competition. Teachers can host competitions within their own class or expand the event to include an entire year level. The format is flexible - students can compete individually (in
games of 2 or 3 players) or in teams (with 4 or 6 players). Team members are
not permitted to communicate during gameplay, which adds a unique challenge and reinforces the importance of planning and silent collaboration.
To get started, display a 'grade notice information sheet' outlining the competition format, sign-up process, and key dates. Students who wish to participate will need to enter their name, class, and best availability on the 'grade sign-up sheet'. This allows teachers to match students with opponents who are available at the same times, ensuring fair and manageable scheduling.
Teachers can decide how rounds are structured and whether games will use one, two, or three hexagons, depending on available time and desired complexity. As the competition progresses, display the results on the 'results sheets' provided in a central location to keep everyone informed and motivated.
Importantly, Trigahex is STEM-accredited and has earned the prestigious ‘Best in STEM’ recognition, awarded to only the top 5% of STEM products. Hosting a Trigahex tournament is not only fun and engaging—it’s a valuable way to support learning in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through strategic, hands-on play.
